Overview
A women’s circle for awakening the goddess within us.
The feminine wisdom is incredibly powerful. It is receptive in nature and intuitive. It nurtures and gives birth to life.
The challenge is that, in our society, the feminine’s receptive nature is often shut down. We are taught to be tough, to push ahead at all costs, and to be reasonable. And so our soft inner voice, the wisdom within us, is pushed aside. When this happens, not only do we lose connection to our inner goddess’ power and beauty, but to our fellow Sisters and Mother Earth, who nurture us. At a macro level, our society tips into the masculine, and a lack of nurturing and love being received is experienced. We begin to search outwards for that which will nourish us, even though the solution is to go inwards and reconnect with the natural receptivity of our inner Goddess.
This four week course will re-open this internal dialogue, and help us soften into our true nature, as we connect to ourselves and with one another. Each week will focus on one of the Four Directions, a powerful tool used in First Nations traditions to illustrate a holistic view of the cycles of life, and how it informs daily our lives as women.
Shelly Burton, Oxford trained medical anthropologist and Samhara Energy Medicine Founder, will be your facilitator.
